Thomas is responsible to the Board of BBR VT International and leads the business development and marketing functions, as well as providing support to BBR Network Members during project acquisition and overseeing maintenance of the BBR knowledge management system.

He joined the Zurich-based BBR Head Office team in 2008, bringing with him over 11 years’ experience of highways, tunneling and general construction - including management of various civil engineering projects in Switzerland. He also gained strong experience in the provision of global sales, marketing and technical support to subsidiaries with an international manufacturer of construction measuring and surveying instruments.

Thomas holds a degree in Civil Engineering from Zurich University and a degree in Business Administration from Bern University. Thomas is a Swiss national and speaks German, English and basic French.

Dr. Caballero joined the BBR Network in 2009 and he now leads BBR VT’s R&D department - with special emphasis on stay cable and post-tensioning technology – and offers technical advice to BBR Network members on specific projects.

During research positions in Spain, Australia and in Switzerland his studies covered many diverse topics. Antonio’s work has been published in several revered international journals and he has actively participated in various international conferences. He is also a member and active contributor within various industry organizations such as fib and PTI.

Antonio holds a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering and a PhD in computational fracture mechanics with application to concrete materials. He was born in Viladecans, a small town near Barcelona, and speaks Spanish, English, Catalan and basic French.
