Post-tensioning kits can only carry a CE marking if a European Technical Approvals (ETA) has been obtained from a nominated Approval Body and after a Certificate of Conformity has been obtained from the Certification Body/Notified Body. Guidance for the requirements to obtain a European Technical Approvals (ETA) is contained within ETAG 013 (Guideline for European Technical Approval of Post-Tensioning Kits for Prestressing of Structures) – which details a set of testing procedures which have to be fulfilled to obtain ETA. The European Organization for Technical Approvals (EOTA) comprises the Approval Bodies nominated to issue European Technical Approvals (ETA). European approved and the CE marked, post-tensioning kits are installed by certified PT Specialist Companies. The PT Specialist Company is responsible to comply with all regulations set forth in the relevant European Technical Approvals of the post-tensioning kits, to comply with the respective standards and regulations in force at the place of use, to ensure a professional execution of the post-tensioning works and to endorse all safety-at-work and health protection regulations.

All necessary information on the BBR VT CONA CMX post-tensioning kits are outlined in the relevant European Technical Approvals and the associated Certificate of Conformity. This includes information on the validity, possible applications, design information, quality assurance procedures as well as the relevant standards for the materials and dimensions of the components. To confirm compliance with the regulations set forth in the relevant European Technical Approvals, the Delivery Note of components to the construction contains the CE marking. The delivery note is issued by the BBR certified PT Specialist Company. Besides the relevant European Technical Approval with the associated Certificate of Conformity and the Delivery Note with the CE marking, NO further certificates or reports have to be provided by the PT Specialist Companies. For a proper track record a Definite CE Marking is issued by the PT Specialist Companies and acknowledged by BBR VT International Ltd after the complete and conforming installation of the particular post-tensioning kit. The Definite CE Marking can be made available to the respective authorities upon request.
