BBR engineers were the pioneers in the truest sense of the word when it came to developing high capacity post-tensioning tendons for nuclear applications. Today, the BBR team has completed close to 100 nuclear energy projects in 15 countries. For the continuous safety of large post-tensioning tendons, accurate measurement of the stressing force and regular in service controls are of great importance and a key competence of the BBR Network. The BBR VT CONA CMI are the state-of-the-art post-tensioning tendons for new nuclear containment vessels, can be equipped with force measuring systems and allow for different types of corrosion protection systems.
