CONNÆCT Awards 09

Again, numerous project reports from all over the world were submitted for the 2009 edition of CONNÆCT. The jury carefully selected the best in each category and these were honored during the Global BBR Conference 2009 in Paris. The winners were:

• Best Photography Award 2009 - BBR Contech (New Zealand) for photographs accompanying their report on the seismic strengthening of Kawarau River Bridge, near Queenstown.

• Best Article Award 2009 - BBR Construction Systems (Malaysia) for the account of their part in the construction of the Kampong Pandan Flyover in Kuala Lumpur.

• Best Engineering Report 2009 - BBR Polska (Poland) for their comprehensive technical report on construction aspects of the striking new sports arena in Łódz.
