fib Awards for Outstanding Concrete Structures 2006
The Floating Breakwater in Monaco was one of the 5 Award Winners of the "2006 fib Awards of Outstandign Concrete Structures" judged during teh FIB Symposium in Naples in June. The BBR CONA post-tensioning system was used very extensively on this structure and special BBR grouting mixtures and procedures were required to guarantee the structures durability and lead - tightness for a 100 year service life. The post-tensioning war executed by the Spanish BBR Group Member, BBR PTE, in collaboration with the BBR Headquarters in Zurich.
