Parallel Strand Cable System for Extradosed Bridges

The BBR HiEx CONA cable system for extradosed bridges is a further development of the BBR HiAm CONA stay cables system and has been fine tuned for the specific requirements of extradosed bridges. Differently to stay cables, the cables of an extradosed bridge can be stressed to a higher level (55% UTS), which is reflected in specific tests which have been executed on the BBR HiEx CONA cable system, such as the Category A fatigue and static tests according to the French SETRA recommendation (Haubans - Recommendations de la commission interministérielle de la précontrainte).
