Testing performance exceeds fib Bulletin 89

HiAm CONA Adjustable Pin Connector

The BBR HiAm CONA Adjustable Pin Connector has recently sailed through testing to fib Bulletin 89 criteria. This successful round of axial fatigue and static tests was carried out using a size 1906 pin connector. After meeting the required criteria which permit up to two wire failures, testing continued and was eventually only stopped because of testing machine safety – at 97% GUTS, 94% AUTS and around 2% elongation. Even after this extended testing period, there were no wire failures at all – an amazing performance! The BBR HiAm CONA Fixed or Adjustable Pin Connector range offers attractive solutions which optimize both architectural and structural aspects of a stay cable while also offering enhanced corrosion protection. Featuring either a single- or double-ended pin, its design incorporates higher construction tolerance in the direction perpendicular to the clevis plate than any other solution currently on the market.
