The BBR Network European Project Managers’ Workshop, held in Marseilles, France in early November, was a real winner! It was great to see the whole team in the same room – and totally engaged on technical issues. Delegates received updates on all the BBR technologies – post-tensioning, stay cables and GT – and heard the latest news about marcoms support material too. There were also many networking opportunities which allowed everyone to catch up with new developments and best international practice. The major highlight of the entire three day session was undoubtedly our site visit to the Bonpas Viaduct where ÆVIA are strengthening the structure with CONA CME external post-tensioning. Many thanks to all who attended – and to our site visit hosts ÆVIA who provided such a valuable insight into extending the lifetime of existing infrastructure.
