Recently, SRG Global – the BBR Network Member for Australia – began the first phase of their stay cable contract for the new Neville Bonner Bridge spanning the Brisbane River. Temporary stay cables are currently being installed ahead of installation of the permanent BBR HiAm CONA stay cable system. The project will also incorporate BBR Viscous Dampers and cross-ties to stabilize the vibration characteristics of the stay cables in this unique structure. This new pedestrian bridge will connect the city’s South Bank and Queens Wharf – and become a further and distinctive landmark on the Brisbane cityscape.
