Delegates from BBR HQ and ETIC hosted an exhibition booth during the recent 40th IABSE Symposium in Nantes, Western France – the main theme was ‘Tomorrow’s Megastructures’. It was a lively three day event and the team were delighted to have the opportunity of making some new acquaintances, as well as renewing contact with many old friends. The Symposium was organized by the French Group of IABSE and the French Association of Civil Engineering (AFGC). It is hoped that at least some delegates may have taken the time to visit two BBR Network projects very close by – the new viaduct for the Rennes Metro and the architecturally distinctive Aquaparc aquatic center in Saint-Nazaire!
