The ring road in Pulawy, together with a new overpass over Vistula River, is a new part of the S12 two line expressway – an important national and international transit way. The bridge over the Vistula River is 1038.2 meters long in total and has a main span of 212 meters. The prefabricated segments for the main deck were delivered on barges and assembled using BBR Heavy Lifting Equipment. The photo was taken during the 10 hour lifting operation for the 63 meter long center section (600 tons). The bridge realization cost is around 170 million PLN and completion is programmed for the second quarter of 2008.
